Technically, this is the supposed equivalent of the D800 and not the 5D3....

Specs look very similar to the D800 except te MP.... curious what the price is going to be

i don't think so...

each pro camera has different audience

5D3 - Weddings/Events (low light situations)
1DX - Sports
3DX - I would assume this is for Studio/Landscape

It's an interesting mix and similar to what Nikon is doing if the D600 is true.

D600 - 24.7, Wedding/Event stuff
D800/e - Studio/Landscape
D4 - Sport/PJ

They just seem to be attacking it from top to bottom as opposed to bottom to top.
