it might be typical, I don't know. But a good part (about 70%) of my older regular 2100mah and 2200mah are still working. It might not hold as much as before, so they are my backups now. But the 2700mah all failed. Maybe my expectation are too high.

i would think 2 years is still pretty good. personally, i always have 'fresh' batteries every year.
I think I'm gonna try these batteries out. Too bad there isn't a lot of statistical data of these compared to the Eneloops. It'd be nice to know if the recycle rate is on par or just as fast. I have a few NiMh's in my bag like the Powerex and the Arctic Power. I don't know them very well but they seem to be OK.
just saw these on the same site, why not get them? http://www.batteryjunction.com/sanyo...-4hr-3uwx.html
I already got 2 packs from BH. I have a total of 20pcs. I just thought I'd ask about the other ones and possibly give it a try. You know...open up some options.
I have a 4 pack Energizer. They're good but I can definitely tell the difference between my Eneloop XX and them. Definitely getting better recycles per flash on the XX's. I just figured rechargeables used by hardcore RC hobbyists should be on par with what we put our flashes through.
A little off topic but I was at a hobby store on Woodbine and Hwy7. I brought in my mini heli for some repairs and saw that the store owner has this gigantor sized RC heli. Carbon fiber cage and blades, aluminum tail and a turbine engine that would probably run a lawnmower. This thing was freakin' 5 feet in length. The entire cockpit was designed to hold a pro HD camera. There was a stunt director in the shop asking all sorts of questions like how much to rent the heli and a pilot 'coz they're filming in downtown and they'd like to use it to capture aerial shots. $3k for a pilot but the heli was not for rent. It sells for $15k. Stunt director made some calls to the set and he basically said he'd like a demo and if they like it, they'll buy it. WWWWoooooowww!!! Pretty crazy...I honestly would like to see that thing in action.![]()
