Canon has their own office in the Olympics 2012. These cameras were used by the Olympics organization photographers i believe and not by news photographers.
Well, for events as important as the Olympics, they can only trust The best cameras and lenses

Yes. Apparently, Canon is so epic that if you mount it on a robot it will:
a) the robot will explode
b) Skynet will be born and AI's will enslave the human race
c) Assimilate Nikon and make it part of its collective
