Canon's low price full frame camera

    Rumored to debut at Photokina,
It seems Canon is following suit, and will be offering a full frame camera at a much reduced cost.
    Initial specs seem to be
    -21 megapixels
    -Less AF points than 5D3
    -Less weather sealing.

i am definitely curious about this one. I wonder if it will be better than 5D2. If it will use the same AF system as 5D3, bye-bye 5D2 for me... lol

I don't completely understand how the market works right now. They are pricing this at $1999, that's the price of 5D2... does that mean that they will be phasing out 5D2 soon?

Nikon is also rumored to be releasing a lower cost full frame camera at Photokina.

Just wondering..... what/when was the last pro-level crop sensor dSLR released from Canon or Nikon? Beginning to wonder about the future of crop sensors pro bodies.

Well there is a rumor that canon will be releasing 7D mk ii, which is a crop sensor.

Hopefully it is a better rumor than the D400; Nikon's mythical D300 replacement.
