TRACK DAY!!! - Feeler

OK, I posted this on the old board but I have now gotten the green light from the track organizers.

Plan is to get a small group of photographers and head out to Shannonville racetrack to shoot a track day. Subject to safety rules, pretty much access to shoot the track and cars, etc.
Opportunities to do ride-alongs with the drivers too, if they are ok with it. Usually its a pretty fun day of sun, fast cars, music, and the sound of racing. We usually have lunch there at the track too. Lots of fun.

Should be a variety of cars there, including a bunch of modified BMWs from my old club.

Tentative Date: June 15, 2012
or another date in July, according to their schedule.

I dont pick the dates.
The club rents the track, which is a lot cheaper on weekdays since no official races are being run.

I'm very interested but can't confirm until closer to June. I've never shot cars/bikes (well, mountain bikes but not really the same thing). Is there a cost for this?

no costs. Unless we want to hire a model to do some "racetrack pin-up" photos too.

yeah, cheaper to get married on a friday or a sunday (about 25%-30% off)
