Thread: Nikon vs Canon

    Nikon vs Canon

With the introduction of the D3200 at 24.2 megapixels.... I find it funny that Nikon's entry level camera now has more megapixels than every Canon camera out there. Just saying.... Not that it matters too much. However I think entry level users will be complaining alot about blurred images with the high pixel count.
    Cheers!

I am actually glad that canon didn't jump on this high megapixel race..... although there is still 1 canon dslr soon to be out (40megapixel) to satisfy the megapixel hungry photographers

imagine editing 1,000 full RAW (36MP) after a wedding... lol

that's too many MP for consumer level camera. I think Nikon must be getting a kick back from memory card makers and computer manufacturers (Hardrives, memory, etc.). LOL

Sadly, consumers will be attracted to those MP numbers anyway.

yep.. just like when consumers buy TV, they would look at the size first before looking at the technology... it's always 'bigger is better'

well...that is a little different. A big TV can be enjoyed by people and groups. They wont care if it's a little fuzzier than the other, smaller model. I doubt they will enjoy Jersey Shore any less with some fewer pixels. The size of a TV is a pretty crucial factor in someone's enjoyment out of it.

The same can't be said for MPs. Most people wouldn't even notice the difference and it might result in crappier photos too. But somehow, they look at MPs as a crucial factor in deciding what to buy.
