Well these 4 pro photographers, take pictures everyday

May 7 - 12, 2012, Toronto, Canada
Magnum Workshop Toronto at CONTACT 2012
In its fifth year, the Magnum Workshop Toronto at Contact 2012, students will participate in a 5 day shooting workshop with their choice of one of four Magnum Photographers: Richard Kalvar, Constantine Manos, Mark Power and Larry Towell, each of whose personal style and focus make this an intimate experience with photography.
Nightly lectures by each workshop leader will give the students an opportunity to interact with the Magnum Photographers and workshop students.

Participants will produce individual projects over the course of five days with daily review and editing sessions within their groups. Focusing on story formation, visual literacy, and developing personal vision, intensive masterclasses form the center of the Magnum Workshop Toronto.

Students will begin the workshop on Monday, May 7th and will be in workshop until Friday, May 11th. The workshop culminates in a student slideshow and closing party on Saturday the 12th. Prior to the workshop, each accepted applicant will be sent specific directives from their selected workshop leader.

The Requirements:
The Magnum Workshop Toronto is aimed at photographers who are dedicated to pushing their own personal photographic boundaries. This includes both professional and amateur photographers, but requires participants to arrive ready to work and to take their photography to a new level. Students are required to submit samples of their work for review before being accepted. The first deadline for acceptance is March 30th, and qualified applicants will be selected through a combination of the merit of their work and their personal statement, and the order of their application's receipt. All applications received after April 15th will be reviewed, space permitting. Due to the fast pace of the week, participants are expected to arrive prepared to produce and edit their projects digitally. Students must bring their own digital cameras. For those students who would like to shoot film, they may do so but must have all film developed at their own cost and meet all required deadlines.
Tuition: $1350 USD (does not include travel, accommodations or on the ground expenses) All fees must be paid within 5 business days of acceptance or you will forfeit your space. Refund policies will be emailed with acceptance letter.

Accommodations: Magnum will provide a list of lodging options upon request. All participants will receive a full welcome package before arrival including logistical details on the ground.

It stimulates excitement and discussion among a diverse audience that has grown to over 1.5 million. CONTACT is the largest photography event in the world, and a premiere cultural event in Canada.

As a leading proponent of photography, the festival increases exposure and recognition for local, Canadian and international artists. Lol I meant vague as what is the curriculum u would be doing. Or what do "on the ground" fees mean? Are u shadowing the pros? Sounds like there is some editing too but no real definition on class time. Is this goin to be street? Fashion? Portrait? Wedding? Family? All of the above?
